La Bise Shawl Kit

La Bise is a slightly asymmetric triangle shawl with an understated textural border. Relaxing stockinette and broken rib combine with a wearable and quirky shape to create a beautiful accessory that is easy and enjoyable to knit and wear. This kit does not include the pattern but can be downloaded for free here.

Our store sample is knit using our custom color from La Bien Aimeé, Autumn Hydrangea, combining one strand of Alix and one strand of Kumo.

If you knit the pattern as written, you will need two skeins of Alix and three skeins of Kumo (Option 1). However, you only break into the second skein of Alix and third skein of Kumo for the last 10 rows or so.

If you want to make your shawl a little smaller and play a bit of yarn chicken, you can choose Option 2, which includes one skein of Alix and two skeins of Kumo. Please note that you will need to adjust the pattern on your own, as this is not enough yarn to knit the shawl as written.
