Stranded Colorwork - February 16 & 23
Are you ready to take your knitting skills to the next level? In this class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of stranded colorwork by completing Andrea Mowry’s Flicker & Flame Hat (worsted version). Whether you’re eager to add bold colors, master complex charts, or create intricate designs, this project is the perfect way to build your skills.
Over two sessions, we’ll explore techniques for stranded colorwork—sometimes called “Fair Isle” knitting—and discover how to use at least two colors of yarn to craft stunning patterns. Along the way, we’ll even delve into the history of the term Fair Isle!
This class is best for knitters who can confidently cast on, knit, purl, work in the round, and decrease. While we recommend you’ve completed at least one hat before joining, adventurous beginners are welcome to try their hand at this new skill!
