My First Vest - September 24, October 1, 8, & 22
Join us as we guide you through the process of knitting your very first vest with the Lulu Slipover by Petite Knit
The Lulu Slipover Vest class is perfect for your first attempt at a garment or a great opportunity for someone who wanted to knit this versatile vest and be a part of a group. The Lulu Vest features interesting design details that will push your skills and make a beautiful heirloom piece for your wardrobe.
This class is designed for an adventurous beginner. We will meet for four 2-hour sessions, spaced thoughtfully to provide plenty of time to work on your vest in between.
Skills Needed: Knit and Purl
Skills Taught: Increasing and Decreasing, Different Cast Ons, Picking Up Stitches, Italian Bind-Off, Double Knitting, and Button Holes
What you’ll need for the class:
- 4 mm (US 6) 24" cable & 3.5 mm (US 4) 16" cable & 2.5 mm (US 1.5) 24" cable
- 697 - 1203 yards (dependent on size) of Worsted weight yarn, we recommend Gilliatt, Heavy Merino, and Le Gros Lambswool
- Four 20mm Buttons
We will provide the printed pattern and a few notions. Needles and yarn should be purchased separately. If you'd like to purchase supplies from us, contact us for a 15% off discount!
Please bring yarn and a completed swatch to the first class. Come in at any point before class begins to get expert advise from our staff on yarn choices for the project!
This class is held in person at our Bainbridge Island shop over four sessions on Wednesday September 24, Wednesday October 1, Wednesday October 8 & Wednesday October 22 from 11am - 1pm. It will be taught by our very own, Kathy Connelly!
Each student will also have the option of scheduling an additional 30-minute one on one session with Kathy to answer any further questions and ensure your project is on the right track.
Cancellation Policies:
If fewer than three spots are filled 72 hours before the class is scheduled to begin, the class will be canceled. A full refund will be issued and you will be notified.
If you need to cancel your registration for any reason, you must do so at least 72 hours prior to the start of the class in order to receive a full refund. Please ensure you’re able to attend all sessions before signing up. We appreciate your understanding!
