Job Title:
Sales Associate

Job Requirements:
Knowledge of yarn and knitting with a passion for talking about yarn and planning projects! You’ll need to be able to confidently speak with customers about their projects, help pick appropriate yarn, and offer advice, both in person and online.

This job requires attention to detail, time management and organizational skills. Previous retail experience, knowledge of crochet, spinning and /or sewing is preferred, but not required. Must be 18+ years of age and have weekend availability.

Pay Rate: Pay starts at $18/ hour depending on experience and position.

Essential Functions:

Use equipment and software, including point-of-sale, price gun, printer, box cutter, commercial cleaning products, computer, phone, and up to four steps on a step stool or ladder
Work with small objects, including reading small letters and numbers
Stand, walk, and move around for up to 100% of scheduled work hours
Reach, carry, bend, squat, kneel, stoop, and climb in the process of receiving and handling inventory, merchandising the sales floor, providing customer service, fulfilling orders, and cleaning store and workspaces
Perform repetitive tasks, including pricing stock, counting inventory, fulfilling orders, and data entry for the sales floor, stockroom and order fulfillment.
Push and pull a wheeled cart approximately 100 ft across the street to our order fulfillment building
Lift up to 50 lbs
Basic math skills for cashiering, inventory and helping customers with knitting and crochet patterns

Paid Sick Leave: One hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked in compliance with Washington State’s Paid Sick Leave Law
