studio inspirations

Posted by Jessica Povenmire on

Last week, I finally took the plunge and made the decision to turn my garage into a studio space. Which, of course, means trip after trip to Home Depot, Ikea, and my local fabric store, Drygoods Design. It's finally coming together, but I've been scouring blogs for inspiration to keep my new space exciting. Don't you just love a studio that inspires you to start creating? That's definitely what I need to keep myself moving along on the list of projects that still need to be made...somehow it just keeps getting longer!

This week I've been working on my second Alder Shirtdress with Grainline Studio's sew along, but between family visiting and the studio cleanup, I've fallen way behind. Today's my day to catch up! I can finally put my sewing space to use. It's so exhilarating to have a place to call my own, instead of pulling my sewing machine out from the closet and clearing the kitchen table just to sew up a quick project. Inspired doesn't even begin to describe it...
