Summer Knit Fish Pouch - June 20

We’re so excited to dive into warm weather knitting with these whimsical fish-shaped pouches. Perfectly sized for your beach bag, they’re great for holding chapstick, sunscreen, earbuds, or any little essentials you want to keep close.

In this class you will learn how to knit the smaller size of the The Rybka Pouch by Rat and Sea Witch

Techniques we will cover in this class will be:

Working back and forth in garter stitch, twisted rib, increases and decreases, as well as a single crochet stitch. This class would be considered an advanced beginner class.

This class is held in person at our Bainbridge Island shop on Friday, June 20 from 1:00-3:30pm. We may hold the class outdoors if weather allows!

This class will be taught by our very own Taylor Huber! 

What you’ll need for the class:

- US 2.5 (3mm) circular knitting needles with a 24” cable

- US C (2.5mm) crochet hook

- 8g of fingering weight yarn, we recommend KFO Merino and Le Petit Lambswool

- 5g of mohair/suri yarn, we recommend KFO Soft Silk Mohair and Le Petit Silk & Mohair

- 2 small buttons for the eyes (optional)

We will provide the printed pattern and a few notions. Needles and yarn should be purchased separately. If you'd like to purchase supplies from us, contact us for a 15% off discount, but you're welcome to bring your own supplies! This project works great for scraps.

If fewer than three spots are filled 72 hours before the class is scheduled to begin, the class will be canceled. A full refund will be issued and you will be notified.
