Socks 101 - August 16, 23 & 30
Let's learn to knit socks!
In this class we'll take you from cuff to toe of your very first sock! We'll be using the I'm So Basic sock pattern from Summer Lee Knits with the magic loop technique.
In the first session, you'll get started with sock construction, magic loop, and start knitting the leg of your sock. In the second session you'll go step by step through the heel flap & gusset and talk through finishing!
Must be comfortable with knits, purls, decreasing and long-tail cast on.
This class is held in person at our Bainbridge Island shop over three sessions on Wednesday, August 16, Wednesday, August 23 and Wednesday, August 30 from 10:30a - 12:30p.
This class will be taught by our very own Jess Povenmire!
What you'll need for the class:
Approx. 440yds/400m of fingering-weight yarn (we recommend Merino Twist or Igneae)
US 1 (2.25mm) circular needles (32 or 40 inch cable)
The pattern will be printed and included in class fee. Yarn and needles should be purchased separately. If you'd like to purchase supplies from us, contact us for a 15% off discount, but you're welcome to bring your own supplies!
Note: The price of this class has increased, as we decided that it needed to take place over three weeks instead of two in order to cover all of the necessary information.
