Know Your Yarns - July 22
Let's talk about yarn and fiber! The making world is full of so many different types of yarn and fiber - it can be confusing to understand the differences and what yarn is perfect for your project.
In this class we'll chat all the way from general yarn construction (how it's spun and plied) to a deep dive on wool (superwash vs. non-superwash, breed specific yarns) and even some about plant and man-made fibers as well! The focus will be on understanding the differences between fiber types and knowing when and how to use them.
This class is held in person at our Bainbridge Island shop on Saturday, July 22 from 10:00a - 11:00a. This class will be taught by our very own Emily Curtis!
What you should know before taking this class:
This class is best equipped for folks who already are somewhat familiar with yarn and fiber, but no knitting or crochet proficiency is required.
What you'll need for the class:
